Although originally from Dallas, TX, Tucson is really my home! I came to Tucson in 1985 and I am still here! I attended Desert Christian High School, and the University of Arizona where I completed my degree in Communications. I later received my Masters Degree in Christian Ministry/Homiletics through Liberty University. In 2003 I was blessed to join the staff at Christ Community Church. Over the course of my seventeen years on staff at CCC, I was privileged to serve as the middle school pastor, high school pastor, and the associate pastor of preaching. In the summer of 2019, I accepted the call to be the first church planter sent out by CCC to plant Living Branch Church in the Fall of 2020! I married my beautiful wife Kendrah in 2006. She is not only my best friend, but a tremendous partner in ministry, as she supports me so faithfully through the constant demands of ministry. In 2010 through our role as foster care parents, God brought our foster son, Henry, into our lives. In May of 2015, the Lord blessed us with our beautiful daughter, Hadleigh. When I have free time, I love to play golf, travel with my family, fish, run, attend any sporting event possible, hike, and be outdoors. I truly love the church, I love all of the amazing people I have the privilege of engaging with, I love God’s unchanging Word, and I love the opportunity ahead of us as we plant and launch Living Branch Church. While ministry has and continues to be a huge part of my life, my prayer is always that my public passion for Christ would never exceed my personal passion for Christ! I count it a great joy to be able to shepherd the flock entrusted to me!
While I’ve lived here in Tucson for more than half of my life, Huntsville, Alabama is where I was born and spent my childhood. Since moving to Tucson, I’ve come to love Tucson’s beautiful desert scenery and its people!
After graduating from high school, I briefly attended the U of A before deciding that I wanted to get a ministry degree from Moody Bible Institute in Chicago. For the past couple of years, I’ve been working on completing my Bachelor of Science in Biblical Studies and will graduate in May of 2020. My hope is to eventually acquire a Masters of Divinity and Clinical Counseling degree.
My young adult years were spent at Christ Community Church where Rob was my youth pastor. After graduating from high school, I returned to serve as a high school small group leader, as well as the summer intern during the summer of 2018. Last summer (2019) I had the opportunity to work for a youth ministry organization called LeaderTreks. My position with LeaderTreks allowed me to lead short-term mission trips for high school students in both Honduras and Costa Rica. Upon returning to Tucson in August of 2019, Rob invited me to join him in planting Living Branch Church. I’m so excited to be a part of this team and to serve with LBC in the Vail Community.
My close friends and family will tell you that I am an avid learner, at times, annoyingly so. I am an explorer at heart. I enjoy reading, listening to music and podcasts, wood-working, and being outdoors. I also love spending time with close friends and my girlfriend, Sandra.
Community Engagement Team
Clint & Sara Westberry
Hey y’all! We are Clint and Sara Westberry. Our story started when we met leading freshman Bible study at Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas. We got married soon after we finished school and began our life together in Texas. During our time in college we had the great joy and opportunity to be a part of a recently planted church. After we got married, we stepped into a volunteer staff position leading the middle school and high school ministry. This was a great adventure learning how to love and serve students and do ministry together. In 2018, we prayerfully decided to move to Arizona to be closer to Sara’s family and her hometown. As we settled into new jobs and a new community in Corona de Tucson we started attending University City Church. This church has been a wonderful blessing to us for the past two years as a place to serve and grow and get to know our community. God laid it on our hearts to be a part of launching Living Branch Church after attending one of the interest meetings for the church plant in the fall of 2019. The clear vision of connecting people to Jesus within our community resonated with how we try to live our lives. We are so excited for the opportunity to lead the Community Engagement Team at Living Branch Church! In this role we hope to invite people to belong, find unique ways to serve people and make them feel loved, and ultimately connect people to Jesus.
The [Welcome] Home Team
Ricky & Delaney Morrison
Hey! We are Ricky and Delaney Morrison. We met while serving together at Elements City Church in Tucson, and in October of 2017 we tied the knot and committed our lives to one another, and to serving the Lord. Four days after our wedding, we moved to Illinois so Ricky could fulfill his active duty enlistment in the USAF. While in Illinois, we served in our small-town church and continued to grow a passion for connecting people to Jesus. We returned to Arizona in July of 2019 and reconnected with our church family at Elements. After much prayer and connecting to the vision and mission of Living Branch Church, we felt led to join the launch team. With continued involvement in leadership and launch team meetings, we are ecstatic to lead the Hospitality Team at LBC! Our desire for this team is simple. First, we want to connect with people by lovingly inviting them into the Living Branch family with a “come as you are” culture. Secondly, we hope to assist our new friends as they come on to campus by creating a welcoming and easily accessible environment and experience for everyone. Lastly, we hope to help connect people to Jesus by encouraging them to explore and experience the many opportunities that LBC has to offer! We are so excited to grow in community with you and look forward to meeting you soon!
Luke 14 Team
I’m a Tucson native, born here to a loud and active family of 5 kids, I graduated from the University of Arizona in 2011… Wildcat for life! Having moved to California for several years after college, returning home to Tucson has reaffirmed how much I love this city, with it’s diversity in both nature and people. I’d like to see any other city rival our sunsets! I have served in youth ministry for over 12 years and have a deep love for children of all ages and all backgrounds. I love to see people connected in community and learn to love God’s people and His word. Throughout my time in ministry and life God has placed a burden on my heart for those who do not have a sense of belonging in the family of God. Leading the Luke 14 team at LBC is both an honor and a sincere passion to make it clear to anyone in our town that they have a seat at the table, we want you here! My desire is to see families with foster or adopted children and those with family members who live with disabilities, know that we so very much want you to be a part of our family at LBC. We are committed to making sure that our volunteers and facilities are adapted to accommodate any and all needs that might arise so that as a family, you are able to connect and be served at our church with your minds at ease. I can’t wait to have you join us!
Tucson has been my home for over 22 years, however; I was born and raised in Mexico City. In 1998, my family moved to the US seeking better opportunities for us. I was enrolled at Flowing Wells High School for my sophomore year that same summer. High School was incredibly difficult for my younger brother and I because we did not speak any English upon our arrival to the United States. Making decent grades in these circumstances was very challenging. While in High
School, I began taking voice and piano lessons, which I wanted to do since I was a little boy but never had an opportunity to do. I think God used music during this time to encourage me during such a difficult time in my life. By God’s grace, I graduated High School (on time!) in 2001 and went on to Pima Community College and then the University of Arizona to study Piano Performance / Music Theory and Literary Criticism.
In late 2002 I met my wife Stephanie at Corazón Ministries, where she worked as a missionary and I served as a volunteer. Fast forward 2+ years and we were married on February 5th, 2005! From 2007 to 2017 I worked for Citibank as an Assistant VP for their mortgage division during one of the toughest times in the industry. God used this time to prepare us in many ways for stepping out in faith as missionaries through Corazón Ministries in November 2014, and in a full-time capacity since August 2017. Our desire is to share the Good News of the Gospel with those who do not yet know Christ and to make disciples within the Hispanic/Latino community in the United States.
In addition to serving as a full-time missionary at Corazón, I’ve served in three different church plants in the role of worship director since 2007, making Living Branch Church our fourth church plant we have served as a family!
Stephanie and I have three wonderful sons: Eliseo (“Elisha” in Spanish, 11 years-old), Ezra (8), and Ander (turning 6 on October 15th). It has always amazed me to look back and see God working in my life and my wife’s life up until now. I never imagined I’d be serving as a bilingual missionary in the United States, carrying out most of my ministry in a language that was so incredibly difficult for me to learn. We are very excited to be part of the LBC family!
